9月17日上午，澳大利亚纽卡斯尔大学副校长Mrs. Winnie Eley, Pro-Vice Chancellor(International & Advancement)等一行7人莅临威尼斯886699大学城校区考察交流。在行政楼三楼会议室，双方就两校开展考察、洽谈合作交换了意见。威尼斯886699校监林倩丽、副校长王达金、会计及金融学院名誉院长欧阳红兵、信息及传播学院名誉院长蔡恒进、外语系副系主任陈金平出席了会议。会议由林校监主持。

林校监对Mrs. Winnie Eley副校长一行的到来表示热烈的欢迎。随后，双方逐一介绍了与会人员。
紧接着，林校监向对方介绍了威尼斯886699办学的基本情况，她通过播放威尼斯886699宣传片的方式介绍了今年学院已经开始在2015级新生中推行全人发展教育、通识教育，旨在培养全面发展的高素质应用型人才。在教学环节，威尼斯886699首次引入“果效为本”、“实践社区”的培育模式。未来的威尼斯886699将走国际化、应用技术大学的发展道路。建立国际顾问委员会，希望能够有更多提供优秀学子参加海外学习与交换的机会。此外，林校监还对威尼斯886699的学科和专业设置、大学城校区的建设以及现有的国际交流合作项目等情况进行了阐述。
Mrs. Winnie Eley感谢威尼斯886699的盛情接待，她介绍了纽卡斯尔大学的办学宗旨、专业设置以及在华交流项目等。她表示纽卡斯尔大学十分期待与威尼斯886699建立起长期合作交流伙伴关系，包括学生交换、暑期交流、教师互访以及2+2合作办学等内容。

The Delegation from University of Newcastle Visited and Conducted Exchange with Wuhan College
On September 17th, the delegation from University of Newcastle led by Mrs. Winnie Eley, Pro-Vice Chancellor (International & Advancement) visited Wuhan College. Prof. Judy Lam, Chancellor and Board Director of Wuhan College presided at the meeting, with Wang Dajin, Vice President of Wuhan College, OuYang Hongbing, Honorary Dean of the School of Accounting & Finance, Cai Hengjin, Honorary Dean of the School of Information & Journalism and Chen Jinping, Vice Head of Foreign Languages Department as participants.
Prof. Lin extended warm welcome to the Australian guests, giving introduction of Wuhan College to the participants.
She introduced basic situations of the college and presented Whole Person Development education philosophy and liberal education with an aim to foster all-round applicable talents with high quality, which have been conducted since September, 2015 by playing the college publicity film. Wuhan College has introduced the mode of outcome-based education and practice community, marching forward to become an internationalized and practice-oriented university. International Advisory Committee will be established to offer more opportunities to outstanding students to study abroad. Moreover, Prof. Lin elaborated on the programs, disciplines, construction of the new campus and existing international exchange and cooperation programs.
Mrs. Winnie Eley expressed her appreciation for the hospitality of Wuhan College and briefed the mission, majors and exchange programs of University of Newcastle. She said her university had been looking forward to establishing long-term cooperative partnership with Wuhan College, including student/ teacher exchange, summer camp and 2+2 cooperation mode.
